Surviving Your Period

25 July

Hello friends! Let's face it: periods are so hard! Between the cramps, and the body aches, periods are difficult. And to top it all off, meds don't kick in at a fashionable time or not at all. What are ways to help overcome the struggles that come with periods? Here are some right here for you!

1 // Heat

Go for a nice hot shower or bath to ease your pains! The warm water will help your pains and will also make you feel nice and clean. Not feeling the water right now? Try a heating pad for a source of heat.

2 // Water

Make sure you are drinking plenty of water or even warm tea. Deals with a bit of your bloating and you stay hydrated at the same time. The tea can help with your cramps.

3 // Notes

If you are to take medication, keep track of the last times you took them on the Notes app of your phone. That way, you know how much and when to take it next.

4 // Foods

Try to eat a banana, some kale, or spinach.

5 // Yoga

Sure, bending into a pretzel at this point and time seems like the last thing you'd like to do! But, it could help you :)

6 // Walk or Run

Again, most likely the last thing you'd want to do during the awful cramps. But, it can also help! So throw on your best running shoes and walk the block.

7 // Watch Out For Your Period

The last thing you want is for you to be out and about or sitting at work and your period just...happens. Copy down your cycles in your Notes section or download an app. I myself use Clue and love it to track all my needs. The best part? It's free. We all know I love free things ;)
